Global Fatbike Day with Shane Hitz
Shane Hitz is a guest blog contributor born and raised in Central Wisconsin. Shane’s has a deep passion for riding and designing routes. In 2019, Shane Hitz race directed the inaugural IRONBULL Red Granite Grinder. In 2020, he put in over 1,600 miles scouting for the race to dial in the courses. Recently, Shane started a blog where he writes about and shares his gravel and bikepacking routes for others to enjoy. This past weekend marked Global Fatbike Day where Shane put in a 86 mile solo pre-sunrise to post-sunset day in the saddle. Along the way he was even the first to set tracks this winter exploring several winter waterfalls on a perfect December day.
