Bandera 100k Ultra Running Magazine race report - No whiners, wimps, or wusses
HOKA ONE ONE Bandera Endurance Trail Race’s punchline of “No whiners, wimps, or wusses” encompasses the spirit required for this event. The course, littered with baby heads, sotol, and any weather you can imagine, offers more of a challenge than many runners planned for.
Located about an hour west of San Antonio, the course is deceptively slow due to the rugged terrain in Texas hill country. The steep hills result in little free trail and frequent treacherous descents. Nonetheless, as a Western States Golden Ticket race talented runners lay down impressive times, with this year being no exception.
